Walley is a first for me – an outcross male that I purchased!!! I looked for almost a year for the pup I wanted with the right termperament, genetic background and conformation. He has not disappointed me in any way yet!!! He finished last June at the ripe old age of 17 months by going Best of Winners & Best of Opposite Sex for a 5 point major. He is a big galoot, friendly and easy going, and really seems to like to show!! He will go with anyone who has treats and he is a show off in the ring. He is a dark golden red with a black mask, almost no white except on his chest. He loves attention, going for rides in the car, and getting the girls geared up for some sort of game. Not sure which direction Walley will want to go after conformation, but we will try lurecoursing, tracking, and hunting for sure. Last spring he ‘helped’ me teach 4-H obedience by being the demo dog and he likes to go on our therapy dog visits so we will probably do more of that. Kids just seem to LOVE Walley!! NEWS FLASH!! Walley qualified for his HQ 1 certificate at the FIRST ever Bird dog hunt qualifier held in South Dakota in October 2007 by scoring high enough in tracking, scenting, marking, and flushing quail. See picture below and more on the News Flash page and read all about it at the Hunting Ridgeback site, www.thehra.com
