The Rhodesian Ridgeback community, as a whole, does a phenomenal job of rescuing ridgebacks in need who were turned into shelters, abandoned on the streets, or are rescued from puppy mills. See the links page for more information and how to contact Rhodesian Rescue.
My policy has always been the same regarding the puppies that I raise. I want to make sure my pups go to the very best possible homes, and do my best to make this happen. With any pup you get from me, you are promising to give this dog a wonderful, loving home for life! I understand that sometimes life can throw you a curveball and circumstances could arise that would necessitate you giving up your dog. Should this ever happen, you would agree at the time of purchase to contact me FIRST, and I will either help find a new home for the dog, or I will take the dog back. No problem! You will agree NEVER to give your dog up to a shelter or rescue or to just turn it loose in the street! As an ethical breeder, I am responsible for all puppies I produce for the life of those dogs, and just want to make sure folks understand up front how strongly I feel about this!!
Occasionally, I do have Rescues available whether they are from my own breedings or others. Some may not even be purebreds!!
